Sting vs Big Bubba Uncensored

Big Bubba Rogers vs Sting by TSteck160

Came across this after I awoke from my coma. Sting has a very underrated 1994/95. First he has a very good series with Earthquake. Then later in the year an awesome PPV match with Meng. In between is the series with Big Bubba Rogers.

Bubba just turned heel at the Clash. Sting spends most of the match selling his knee and does a great job. Even when he hits things like the released German Suplex and the flying splash he never stops selling the knee.

There was a neat spot with Bubba using his tie to get out of a sleeper.

Bubba gets the clean win when Sting's knee comes into play.

One Man Gang, Barry Windham, Ric Flair and Nikita Koloff vs PN News, Tommy Rich, Brian Pillman and El Gigante

This is an odd heel line up. Seeing insane One Man Gang and Sullivan hanging with the Horsemen.

Sting comes out and is ambushed by Nikita. So the match starts with it being 4 on 3. Until PN News comes out. He never tags in or anything so no real point. El Gigante throws a surprisingly good suplex.

Nikita wipes out Tommy Rich with two Russian Sickles, but is attacked by Sting, whose head is wrapped. It goes to a no contest. Left you wanting a Sting/Nikita match so it worked.

Hello

The good Dr. Victator here invited me to contribute to his blog. This particular post lacks context, but I'm going to be joining him in talking about wrestling. Probably a lot about Hulk Hogan at least to start, and there are a few other projects I've considered and never done that will likely wind up here. So, feel free to drop in and read my inane ramblings about the pro wrestling alongside the wonderful words of the Doctor.

Hulk-A-Thon 2 Hulk Hogan Vs Nikolai Volkoff

Tonight I'll be looking at the second match on the Real American VHS. It is Hulk Hogan vs Nicolai Volkoff on an early episode of Saturday Night's Main Event. Hulk is pissed that Volkoff keeps singing the Soviet National anthem. Though he has been doing it for at least a year at this point. So not sure why Hulk just noticed. First let me point out Volkoff's swank Soviet Army jacket.

Next this is a great performance from Nicolai. I think he gets a bad rap in general. But here he goes all out. Bumping huge for everything and hitting some big moves. Real brutal looking ax handle. Great looking back breaker.

Hogan hits a sweet looking Ax Bomber clothesline on Volkoff, and beats him from pillar to post. Interesting thing here is Hogan does not really "Hulk Up". Volkoff misses a charge in the corner and Hogan hits the Leg Drop for three.

This is a really good match and probably Nicolai's best ever.

This is a match from 1988 with Hulk facing Volkoff's tag team partner Boris Zuchov. I remember watching this when I was seven and being super excited that Hulk was wrestling on free TV. I was also afraid for him. Those two Russians might hurt him.

Hulk gets in the ring and the Commies beat him down. Hulk clangs their heads together and essentially has target practice with Zuchov. Boris gets brief Rusty Brooks offense, and Hulk says enough of that and kicks the Commie's butt. Volkoff comes in and Hulk messes him up for good measure.

Finally he beats up the Commies manager Slick, who probably did something to deserve it. Little did Hulk know this would be far from his last encounter with the Doctor of Style.

John Tenta squash

Big John Tenta in action by TSteck160

Came across this. Tenta just had his head shaved by Big Bubba Rogers. Dungeon era Bubba was really a precursor for super evil 99 Big Bossman.

Tenta gets to the ring and some hillbilly named Larry Keene attacks. Keene had some nice looking punches. Tenta puts him away with the Earthquake drop.

Hulk-A-Thon 1 vs Andre in a Cage

The other night I was babysitting my nephews. My oldest nephew Dylan is starting to love wrestling. He really enjoys watching older stuff. So we watched the Hulk Hogan:Real American Tape AVI on the portable DVDOLA.

The tape generally kicked some ass and put me in the mood to talk about Hulk Hogan. I'll start with matches on Real American and go from there.

Hulk Hogan vs. Andre the Giant 07.31... by swantom-bomb

This match is from the Wrestlefest 88 card in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It is the first and only cage match between Hulk Hogan and Andre the Giant.

Me and my contributor Matt D often talk about what an amazing wrestler Andre was at the end of his career. Andre could not do much here, but he was so smart everything had maximum impact. Elbow drops and headbutts seemed like huge bombs.

I think this match really illustrates why Andre was great and Hulk too. Hogan runs into the cage and tears into the Giant, which as always proves to be a bad idea. Andre chokes Hogan out with his own shirt and beats the tar out of him.

Not being for a title, there is not the problem typical of escape rules cage matches. Neither man is anxious to leave as they want to hurt each other. They do a really good job of using the cage. He gets above Andre and steps on his throat, holding on to the cage. Being pulled down, he starts hitting Andre with elbows and punches.

They keep using the shirt as a weapon to choke one another. They do a lot to give the illusion of movement.

One cool moment is when Andre ties Hogan's throat to the cage with the shirt. He lays into Hogan with stiff chops and punches. Andre isn't escaping since it is not for a title. He just wants him to suffer. By the time he has decided Hogan has had enough, Hogan frees himself and bolts across the ring to stop Andre from winning.

One great thing about Andre is even on his back, once he lands even a glancing blow he can take control. Hogan was laying into him, and Andre landed a punch and locked on a bear hug from his knees. Hogan fights out and attempts to escape, and Andre moves surprisingly fast to stop him.

Andre drops an elbow on Hogan that seems like a small nuke. I think if he ever attempted a top rope one like Big Show did at Survivor Series, it would shatter the walls of reality.

Now they are wearing down and vengeance has given way to wanting to end things.

Hogan is stopping Andre from getting out thru the door. Andre is trying to rip the turnbuckle pad off.  He slams Hogan's head into the exposed turnbuckle. After being bitten and headbutted, Hulk is bleeding and is fading.

Andre goes for the door but Hogan has his leg. One thing I will say in favor of escape rules cage matches. There is something about a beaten and bloodied good guy desperately holding on to a heels foot that looks heroic. It would be so easy to lay there and let the guy leave. Its not like he pinned you or made you submit. He simply walked thru a door. But no the good guy refuses to stay down. He fights and pulls back in the man who hurt him.

Hogan dodges Andre's big boot and nails him with the Ax Bomber clothesline. Andre does not go down, instead doing this awesome wobbly selling. Hogan seeing he has the advantage, starts hitting Andre with chops. Andre bounces off the ropes into more chops and punches. Finally Hulk runs and hits a second Ax Bomber, finally putting the Giant down. Hogan hits the Leg Drop, but before he can escape, Bobby "The Brain" Heenan (Andre's Manager) comes in. Bobby wrestled on this card against the Ultimate Warrior. So he has his wrestling gear on, complete with sequin jacket.

He attacks Hogan, only to be flattened by a Hogan punch. Andre is now trying to climb (!!) out of the cage. Hogan takes a pair of brass knuckles out of Heenan's pocket and punches Andre in the kidney. Andre falls down and is tangled in the ropes. Hulk gives Heenan more payback and throws him into the cage.

Hogan decides to climb out of the cage, saluting his fallen foes on the way.

WWF Raw is War 12/6/99 Part 11 - Big Show vs Viscera (WWF Title Match)

Man this kicked some ass. Big Show is WWF champ and defending against Viscera. I was going through one of those famous two month holiday periods without cable. So I missed a lot of this stuff.

Anyway this is two giants throwing bombs. Vis actually Samoan Drops Show in the first minute. Show hits a backdrop suplex. Vis clotheslines Show out of the ring and Show drops a bomb to win.

Then Bossman does stuff.

Mark Henry vs Kaientai

Came across this looking for the Kaientai vs Scorpio/Terry Funk match on Youtube. Really short but pretty fun. The finish was unexpected. Its hard to remember a world where Kaientai could pin Mark Henry.

Stan Hansen and Johnny Ace vs The Youngbloods

I came across this the other day scanning thru the AJPW 1993 TV season I got. I was surprised the guys Hansen was mauling were the Renegade Warriors. I remember these dudes from 1990 WCW and they were not good. I can remember Arn Anderson and Barry Windham struggling to have good matches with them.

Fast Forward to 1993 and these guys are good. They look like they were in better condition here. Hansen is so much fun in this match and he brings everybody up to his level. Gotta hand it to the Youngbloods. Normally these lower card guys seem apprehensive about mixing it up with Hansen. Almost like they close their eyes and think of England. But both Renegades really lay into Hansen with hard chops. It almost looks like it surprises Stan, who beats the shit out of them.

Ace came in and held up his end of the match. His offense from the Powerslam to the belly to belly suplex to a flying clothesline look good. I love the parts where Hansen comes in long enough to kick a Youngblood in the head and go back out.

Long haired Youngblood catches Ace with a flying enziguri and tags in short haired Youngblood. He hits Ace with a flying forearm chop thing. Hits him with a running ax kick in the corner. He spends too much time whooping it up and Ace catches him with a clothesline. This got a good reaction from the crowd. He tags in Hansen and they get even louder. Hansen here is a force of nature. Running roughshod over both Youngbloods. They are trying to fight, but its like fighting a tornado. He powerbombs short haired Youngblood and clobbers long hair when he breaks up the pin.

Then nails the Lariat on short hair for the win. Then for good measure nails long hair with a Lariat.

This was awesome.

Dustin Rhodes, Terry Funk and Bradshaw vs Jerry Lawler, Brian Christopher and Scott Taylor

This is a match I was told about by Matt D. Its weird to see a match like this on Shotgun. Seems it was done especially for the live audience in Texas. Today the Texas trio would have jobbed clean.

Anyway everyone in this match looks great. Too Much are both tiny compared to the faces. Especially Dustin and Bradshaw. Bradshaw does not sell much for Too Much, but he really shouldn't have been.

Dustin starts off clowning Scott Taylor. Before tagging in Bradshaw who mauls Taylor. He goes in the corner and tags Christopher and Lawler hops down before he can get to him. He gets back on Taylor in the corner and super backdrop suplexes him.

Now Christopher is in. Which if you believe old rumors makes this pretty awkward. After Christopher gets on offense briefly, Bradshaw tags in Terry Funk. Funk demands to face Lawler.

Lawler gets in and gets the best of a punch exchange then piledrives Funk twice. Kevin Kelly on commentary, really gets over how important the Piledriver is. He also covers slightly for Lawler not pinning him. Lawler takes a big bump over the top rope and Funk batters him on the announce table.

Back from commercial and Funk is mixing it up with Christopher. The heels get the advantage. Before Funk tags out to Dustin. But the heels quickly get heat on him. Hitting a Hart Attack on Dustin.

Dustin gets the tag to Bradshaw, who tears things  up. Hitting a big boot on Christopher, a fallaway slam on Scott Taylor, then powerbombs Christopher. Lawler comes in, bringing back Dustin and Funk. Triple backdrop by the faces. Christopher ducks a Funk/Dustin double clothesline. Only to take the Lariat from Bradshaw.

They crammed a ton of stuff into ten minutes. This is as good or better as any US TV match you'll find in 1998.

Sabu a Day 9 vs Taz Blackwood New Jersey December 27th 1997

Way back in 2009 I talked about a Sabu vs Taz match from Halloween 1997. http://drvictatorpresents.blogspot.com/2009/09/taz-vs-sabu-10-3197.html

I really love it and it ended up number 2 on my ECW Top Twenty list. They ran this match around the horn. But as Fancams are slightly difficult to come by online. It was the only one I could find.

Recently I found two more. One is from February 1999 and the other from December 97. I will talk about the 12/97 one here.

One thing I love about watching a long running series is seeing how it evolves. Watch the Hulk Hogan/Macho Man feud and every match in 85 and 86 you see things being added and things subtracted. Until finally you get the perfect Boston Garden match.

This is similar in some ways. The thirty minute draw from 10/31/97 Sabu and Taz ran out of spots early on. Taz hit most of his suplexes and Sabu his big aerial stuff. So they had to fill up time in the match. Which leads to neat stuff like Sabu going after Taz's knee. Even locking on a good looking figure four leglock.

This match they learned their lesson. Taz is very careful to space out his suplexes. Using them in the same context. Basically he nails Sabu with one, anytime Sabu is building up momentum.

But this match is not as good. A few minutes in, Taz hits Sabu with a nasty clothesline. Sabu broke his jaw a month before, and he messed up here. The rest of the match he is trying to recover from that.

Every thing he hits looks a bit off. At one point he leg drops Taz thru a table and hits his head on the guard rail.

He hits Air Sabu and kinda does a Flair Flip over the turnbuckle.

Later Taz T-Bone suplexes Sabu thru a propped up table and lands at a bad angle. He gets flap jacked on the table and it does not break.

It is one of those nights where nothing goes quite right.

Taz is TV Champ so he is not jobbing and Sabu is not jobbing on a house show. Sabu is the only guy I can think of more willing to lose on Television than on House Shows.

So they are obviously working toward a draw. The submission stuff is not as fun here. It does look like they are cranking it on. But you also know its more to fill time. Since unlike last time its not building up a story like the Halloween draw.

I still enjoyed the match. It has some rough charm. Also its fun contrasting it with the other matches.

Sabu A Day 8: vs Billy Black

In the DVDVR thread I kinda slagged this match. Watching it now, I can see where I was coming from but it improved on a second viewing.

Billy Black in a very small circle, is a bit of an underground legend. He was a really talented guy who never made it. He worked a SMW taping or two. An All Japan tour then three ECW shows in 1996. After that he was in the news for pistol whipping a wrestling promoter in public. Which honestly, is not even a crime in most states.

The most interesting thing was his look. He had a big arsenal of fancy moves but looks like the scummiest Southern County Fair indy wrestler.

This is Black's biggest match in ECW. It did not make TV but it is a match with Sabu which in 96 is the default main event.

Match starts out good. Black dodges Sabu's leg dives, and drops and elbow and catches him with some great looking uppercuts. Really they look fantastic. He catches him with some knees, front suplexes him on the top rope and European Uppercuts him to the floor. His strikes are William Regal/Finlay level.

Black climbs to the top rope and hits a beautiful Flying Body Press to the floor. Then he rolls Sabu in and clamps on a bodyscissors. This is when I turned on the match last time. This is not a Sabu structured match. It feels like Black had a good segment mapped out did it and needs to think of something else. I see this in Sting matches sometimes so Black is in good company. To his credit he does not do a chinlock or headlock. He tries to keep it visually interesting.

Sabu fights out of it turning It into a leg submission and Black rakes his eye to escape.

Black works him over on the ropes. Hits another of those uppercuts, they rule. Sabu catches him with a spinning heel kick that doesn't quite hit Black flush. Sabu slams him and hits a springboard leg lariat. We hear Tommy Rich tell Sabu to use the table.*

Sabu pulls him up and DDTs Black and heads outside. Grabs a chair and hits a beautiful Air Sabu in the corner on Black. Sabu whips him in the opposite corner but Black reverses and hits a hard clothesline.

Sabu reverses a suplex, but Black catches him with a boot in the corner and drops a great looking elbow. Black is like the ECW version of Bob Cook. This dude with not quite the most conventionally good look. But has these awesome looking strikes and you can buy him getting offense on way bigger stars. Like Cook fucking up Dick Murdoch in a TBS squash.

Black clamps on an abdominal stretch. It looks really good and I think it should be brought back as a finisher. It has not been seen in years. A properly applied one could be a credible finish. I love how Black releases it when he realizes Sabu will not submit. He hits a nasty elbow to the back of the head.

He whips Sabu into the ropes but Sabu flips over and spin kicks Black sending him out of the ring. Sabu puts him over the guard rail and hits Air Sabu. Back in the ring and Sabu starts tagging him with punches and Black fires back. it is a rare occasion when a dude out punches Sabu. But damned if Black did not do it. This section has some good back and forth brawling. They keep reversing a waist lock til Black hits a picture perfect German Suplex for two.

Fans are into this as they are chanting Sabu. They hit a brutal double clothesline. Side tangent but I remember the first time I ever saw a double clothesline. It was Hogan vs Warrior at the 1990 Royal Rumble and it blew my mind. I never saw such a brutal move. I thought they had killed each other.

They fight back up to their feet and Sabu has the advantage. Gets Black in the corner and hits a cool looking Stinger Splash clothesline.

Sabu hits his flipping legdrop and locks on a Code Red Armbar but Black is near the ropes. Sabu catches him with a big clothesline. Sabu is that rare smallish wrestler who can hit a credible looking clothesline. Black pulls himself up and Sabu tags him again. Up again and Sabu hits the springboard leg lariat. Then hits the Arabian Press moonsault.

Black comes off the ropes and blocks a hip toss with a bulldog. He goes for a moonsault and misses. But Sabu was not positioned right. I swear like only a tiny percentage of wrestlers know how to position a dude for a moonsault.

Black gets knocked to the outside. Sabu props him on a table and hits a flipping senton onto Black and the table does not break. It looks very painful. Like hitting the floor woulda felt better. Sabu has a "Fuck it it lets go home" look on his face.

Back in the ring Sabu misses a charge in the corner and Black hits a nice looking spin kick. Then hits a good looking spinning heel kick in the corner. Black tries to go to the top and Sabu catches him. He hits a Hurracarana, and Black takes a nasty looking bump. One Arabian Facebuster later and its over.

On a second viewing I was wrong about this match. It had some structure problems but kicked ass too.

*Not Tommy Rich but an incredible simulation.

The Holly's vs The Hardy Boyz 9-6-99

I remember watching this eleven years ago. Hardcore Holly definitely had the best undercard act in wrestling in 99. I remember him and the Acolytes were the highlight of any given Raw for me. Best part was when he was the Big Shot and Big Show's buddy. He was even a part of the Big Show/Undertaker alliance. Shortly after that his cousin Crash Holly was introduced. A pint sized version of Hardcore. He had a big chip on his shoulder and was determined to prove he was as tough as his cousin.

Now Crash probably did water down the act some. But at the same time he really added to it. The Hollys were a tag team and picked a fight with everybody from The New Age Outlaws to the Acolytes to the Rock and Mankind.

Now for me the highlight of their run was their epic brawl on Heat with the Acolytes. I talked about it in an entry from last June.

But the other highlight is this and it is not really related to a match. The Hollys said they were super heavyweights and insisted on only fighting their fellow super heavyweights. Tonight their oppoenents are the Hardy Boyz, Matt and Jeff. Believe it or not there was a time Matt could be referred to as "Anorexic Andy" and not be in an ironic fashion.

"Karen Carpenter" (Jeff) is invited to step up next. Well the Hardyz do not meet the weight requirement. But wait Matt and Jeff have a manager at this time, Gangrel.

Hardcore in a generous giving mood, makes an invitation.

"Hey, Hey Dracula, why don't you hop on there and see how much you weigh ya fat bastard."

Which is one of the single greatest lines in the history of Monday Night Raw. I love that this genuinely cracked up Jerry Lawler and JR (who tried to hide it.)

Well Hardcore is distracted and does not see Jeff Hardy perched on the top rope who nails Hardcore with a flying dropkick, and the match starts. The Hardyz get the better of the first part of the match. Knocking Hardcore out of the ring and working over Crash. Crash is in the corner and Jeff hits poetry in motion and Matt knocks him down with a big clothesline.

The Hardyz were very underrated as brawlers. They could hold their own in a straight brawl and not look out of place.

That said the match is strangely booked. I think the Hardyz and Hollys are both heels. Crash works face in peril for the Hardy Boys and the Hardyz do a a good job working him over. I love when Crash will bust out a fancy crusierweight move when he is desperate. Like he wants to win a fist fight, but once he gets desperate he goes to what will work.

Hardcore gets tagged in and he is an excellent house of fire. Hitting a great looking powerslam. Hardyz get back the advantage using quick double teams. Matt hits a suplex and Jeff the Swanton Bomb. But it is not a finisher yet.

They go for another double team, but Hardcore kicks Jeff in the face and hits the Falcon Arrow on Matt for three. Just realized this was a clean finish on a 99 Raw. Weird.

Sabu a Day 7 vs Umaga

Umaga vs. Sabu by neoche78

Last night on DVDVR Dylan Waco said

"I actually think in a way the greatest strength of Sabu was his ability to be a fun novelty act against almost any opponent. It's the same trait that Abby has and that Necro has. The persona is so big that even if you aren't high on him as a worker you just want to see him and the weirder the match up the better."
I think that is why I have been mostly looking at his runs in places that are not ECW. Seeing him in WWE is so strange that beyond being good (they are) they also have a freak show appeal. This match is one of those. This is a match Sabu had with Umaga the week before Survivor Series 06.

The match is almost a complete squash. I've seen Mike Jackson and Tony Stuber get more offense in TBS squashes than Sabu got here. But Umaga is such a beast and Sabu does such a great job taking the beating its hard to care.

Sabu goes on the attack first and Umaga catches him with an uppercut to the throat. After this Sabu never gets going. Umaga takes a part Sabu with headbutts and a huge chop which folds Sabu up. Umaga starts clubbering in the corner. Sabu fights his way out and Umaga will have none of that and drops him again.

On the outside Sabu gets whipped into the barricade taking a chest first bump. Back in the ring he starts hurting Umaga with punches only to get his head taken off by a kick.

Umaga misses a charge. Sabu hits a leaping leg lariat, dropkicks his knee and hits the big springboard DDT but Umaga gets up. Sabu leaps blindly into the ropes and takes the Samoan Spike. Probably the best looking Samoan Spike I have seen anyone take.

On commentary JR and even King try their best to put over Sabu. Getting across how tough Sabu is which gets Umaga over even more as a force of nature.

Sabu a Day 6 vs Cactus Jack NWC 1995

Last night on DVDVR, I got a request from Dylan Waco to review the matches Sabu and Cactus Jack had in 1995 for NWC in Las Vegas. I'm going to look at the Cage match first since cage matches are such oddities for both of them.

Cactus does this great promo about how Sabu brings out the worst in him. I really miss Cactus Jack. Not Mick Foley but Cactus Jack the sick and twisted fuck. The cage match has a good premise. Last time they wrestled they destroyed the building, endangered fans and ruined a blackjack game.

Cactus and Sabu have really weird chemistry. A lot of it is they feel like putting two magnets together of the same polarity. It makes me wonder what a Cactus Jack circa 95/Necro Butcher match would be like. Have Butcher and Sabu wrestled?

The match starts and it is awkward. It is escapes rules BTW and filled with weapons. A combination of Sabu and Jack's weird chemistry and Jack being bad in cage matches. In his book Foley said anytime he was in a bad match he would kick into over drive to try to save it. That happens here. He really tears into Sabu and like the Parka match it feels like two guys dropping bombs. Jack beats the shit out of Sabu. Laying into him with kicks, punches and weapon shots. Wears him out with a snow shovel. Then starts trying to shove Sabu through the cage.

I think that Foley know he can't outcrazy Sabu, so he steps into the role of large brute and fucks him up. He breaks a pane of glass over Sabu's head and starts cutting him up, even messing up his own hand. I don't think even the Japanese Death Leagues were using glass yet.

Cactus sets up a table and Sabu blindsides him. Tries to go up top and Cactus puts him in a sleeper causing them to plummet into the table.  Sabu tries to scale the cage and Cactus follows. Sabu hits a dropkick on the top rope crotching Jack. Now Sabu is going after Cactus with a barrage of weapon shots.

We get another edit and Cactus is trying to escape but Sabu wails on him with the shovel. They fight on top of the cage again and Sabu knocks Cactus to the mat and follows up with a Rey Mysterio esque splash.

Later Sabu is thrown at full speed into the table which doesn't break. Staggers out and headbutts Cactus in the gut. Later Sabu places Cactus on the table and misses a moonsault and the table does not break.

Sabu's selling is great. I mean he probably is hurt but the result is the same. Cactus misses a top rope elbow and the table still does not break. Now Sabu hits the legdrop and the table still refuses to break. They have both collective said fuck it and go to the finish. Which is the Orndorff/Hogan SNME finish.

Sting vs Kurt Angle Huntsville

nun8un by Moonshame

I was at the Impact Taping last Thursday. I took my seven year old nephew. It was his first wrestling show and he loved it. My favorite part was him very earnestly telling me every time a heel cheated. I went to see one man. I went to see Sting. Sting was one of my favorite wrestlers growing up and my appreciation for him has grown as I get older. I think the fact he has been in a shithole like TNA and still retained his aura is such a big point in his favor. Guys like Mick Foley, Kurt Angle and even Hulk Hogan have had their legendary auras torn down. To the point they do not seem like that much of a bigger deal than AJ Styles or Eric Young.

The aura Samoa Joe's cultivated in ROH has been decimated. He bears a striking resemblance to Tazz circa 2001/2002. Except he was still over.

Sting came out and the place went crazy. He was the most over guy in the building. Everybody came to see him. I went crazy every time he was out.

So when they announced a Sting/Angle title match I was so happy. I have loved every match Sting and Angle have had. The PPV match last month was really good except for the Impact Zone. They have great chemistry and it is a shame they could not of crossed paths earlier.

I never realized how crummy TNA's editing is until I saw a TV taping. This match was so poorly edited. They have this knack for making the coolest stuff look mundane.

One of my favorite parts of the match was Angle countering the Stinger Splash with a Belly to Belly. Later Sting gets a big near fall on the Scorpion Deathdrop. I thought Sting had won the title.

Later he locks on the Scorpion Deathlock and the ref bump happens of course. By the end of the night it was a running joke in my section. People were looking at the ramp waiting for the Run in.

So Hogan hits Sting with a chair. Sting no sells and Hulks up and I LOST MY SHIT!!! I was howling, beating my chest. It was the best wrestling moment I ever had live. At least since I lived thru Hulkamania in 89.

But Angle hits an Angleslam on the chair. I did not realize it was on top of the chair. Looked nasty on tape.

Loved this and had a great time. Later I will tell tale of meeting D-Von Dudley and locking eyes with Winter and locking her under my thrall. Oh wait I just did.

Sabu A Day:Day 5 vs Big Show ECW on Sci Fi

Sorry been preoccupied since Thursday. Nothing interesting just bills and family issues.

This is the match with Big Show that set up the Extreme Rules rubber match. Even if it is weird since Show beat Sabu at Summerslam and won here by DQ. But that's modern wrestling for you.

One thing I loved with this feud was Heyman begging Show not to underestimate Sabu. But Show is all "Don't worry I got this. I'm a giant." and slowly reality sets in like when Rocky knocked Apollo Creed on his ass in Round One.

Show was perfect during this period. The perfect mixture of Unstoppable monster/vulnerable heel Champion. You can buy ancient melting man of wax Flair beating Show. Or the Sandman beating Show. Because ECW is this alien planet with its own customs. While the WWE wrestlers were like settlers converting the natives to Christianity. Until eventually the natives entire culture is assimilated.

This match starts like the other Sabu/Show matches. Show comes in overwhelming Sabu. Headbutts, Chops and crazy looking military presses dominate. Show drops him from the press slam on the top rope and Sabu dropped directly from the floor.

With Big Show a basic bodyslam looks brutal. Sabu starts firing off some punches and Show wipes him out with a Lariat. He just suffocated Sabu with half his body.

Show clamps him in a bearhug and Sabu tries to gogue his eyes out. Ref reprimands Sabu while Show starts to realize what he is dealing with.

Blinded, Show accidentally wipes out the referee with a spear. Sabu leaps off the ropes and Show catches him. He hits a crazy Fallaway Slam that sends Sabu flying across the ring.

Sabu heads outside, Show pursues and Sabu cracks him in the head with a chair. Catches him with a few more shots, finally toppling him with a chair shot off the top rope.

He hits the Triple Jump Moonsault and Arabian Facebuster but no referee. Another ref runs in and Sabu gets a two count. Sabu goes fuck it and grabs the ring bell. He splits Show's scalp open and the referee cowers in the corner.

Sabu is enraged and hits Show over and over. He is covered in blood and pleading with Sabu to show mercy. Because of how good Show and Sabu are you buy it. He keeps hitting him and Show goes over the top thru a table. Sabu is DQ'ed I think. Or maybe Show was for wiping out the first Ref.

Sabu stands looking crazed holding the bell in his mouth.

Sabu A Day:Day 4 vs La Parka Mexican Massacre Match

MLW should have been the best of the three upstart promotions of 2002. They did not do the stupid shit TNA did and they were not wrestling as performance art  indy classic bullshit of ROH. But nothing they did ever worked. Even stuff that should have been good in theory.

The Sabu vs La Parka feud however is one of the things that did work. This is not their first match. That one ended with Sabu bludgeoning Parka with scissors. Tearing his mask open and leaving him a bloody mess. It had this awesome visual of a bloody Parka crawling desperately toward Sabu.

This is the rematch some months later. They did some angle where Parka injured Bill Alfonzo, so he sends his brother the Cuban Assassin in his place. Parka comes out in some sweet ring gear. Wearing a crazy rubber skull mask over his regular crazy skull mask. Joey Styles wonders if it is a Missy Hyatt mask.

Match starts with some nice mat work. Sabu takes down Parka with an armbar. They end up brawling on the floor. Both of them taking some nasty bumps. Watching this I wonder if they genuinely dislike each other. Sabu throws a chair in Parka's face and Parka tries to cave in Sabu's skull.

Parka tries to throw Sabu into a table, Sabu escapes and slams Parka's head into the hardwood. Looks really nasty. Parka responds by trying to decapitate Sabu with a short arm clothesline. These two are dropping bombs like a lightweight Hansen/Vader.

Parka hits a great looking suicide dive. Parka misses a senton in the ring. Sabu locks on a Camel Clutch but Parka fights to the ropes. Guys dragging guys to the ropes to escape submissions sometimes bugs me. Like seeing Rey Mysterio pull Edge across the ring to escape the Sharpshooter. But here it works with Parka having a size advantage and it really looks like a struggle.

Lot of people dislike Joey Styles. Hell he bugs me at times. But I think he was good here. One thing he got across was how familiar he was with Sabu. Later he pointed out that Sabu was at a disadvantage not having Fonzie, since he had no chemistry with Assassin. But putting over Assassin is a wrestler which makes him less of a liability.

Parka faceplants Sabu into a chair and again it looks nasty. Parka and Sabu trade punches on the turnbuckle. Parka gets the advantage and faceplants Sabu into the chair from the second rope. Ref tried to move it but you see Parka threaten him. He tosses Sabu out and hits another brutal looking suicide dive.

Parka hits Sabu with a broken table and I don't know where it came from. The match is not edited so I must have missed something.

Sabu tosses Parka into the table shrapnel in the corner. Sabu pins Parka covered in the shrapnel and it is a great visual. The match is disjointed in places. But they go by that old rule of when in doubt beat the shit outta each other and it works. Parka knocks down Sabu and cuts a little jig.

Parka is a guy who really should have been a far bigger star in this country. Lots of charisma, good in the ring and big enough to credibly fight heavyweights.

Weird spot on the apron. It looks like they are having a disagreement on what to do so Sabu hip tosses him into the ring and Parka reverses.

Parka hits a stiff standing enzugiri on Sabu. Hits a sitout Powerbomb, but he can't finish him off.. Sabu escapes the table but is hit by a Crossbody block off the top. Assassin comes in and knees Parka in the gut. The type of brute force that Fonzie can't provide. Sabu hits the Triple Jump Moonsault spot on.

Assassin proves a liability. He can't move as fast as Fonzie or set up the tables and chairs properly. Which for Sabu is crucial and he pays for it in the end. While Sabu is climbing up top, Assassin comes into hold Parka down. But Parka nails him with a chair and Sabu puts Assassin thru the table. Parka hits a moosault somersault block onto Sabu for three.

This match is not perfect. It is disjointed in places. But the action is stiff and nasty enough I can overlook its flaws.

Sabu A Day:Day 3 vs Big Show Extreme Rules MSG

So on the first day I said in regards to Sabu vs Abyss

"I wish Kane vs Sabu had happened once in Sabu's WWE tenure. If he can do good work with Dollar Tree Kane, then surely he could do great work with real Kane."

Today we put that theory to the test as we watch Sabu vs Big Show in an Extreme Rules match from Madison Square Garden.

This match is the blow off to the Sabu/Big Show feud. They had a match at Summerslam that Big Show won. They had a rematch where Sabu got a visual pinfall. That match had Sabu bloodying Show with a ring bell and it was great. It set this match up.

First things first, I think Big Show is the best ECW Champion ever. You could of put his reign in the original ECW and it would not of seemed outta place. Every week they were bringing in special attractions from Raw and Smackdown trying to take down Show. Mixed in with him feuding with ECW regulars like RVD,Sandman and of course Sabu.

Match starts and the size difference is obvious. Sabu tries to use a chair and Show swats it aside casually.
Show ragdolls Sabu around the ring. Bashes his head in with headbutts. Hits him with chops. As a dick move he tosses him outside and lets Heyman's bodyguards beat up on Sabu. Heyman is outside kissing Show's ass, and Show has this dopey grin on his face. Big Show has the absolute perfect balance between genuine monster and hateable dick head.

Show takes the chair Sabu tried to use earlier and destroys it. He actually rips it apart with his bare hands. Sabu takes this as a sign to get it in gear but Show crushes him with a clothesline. After being worked over, Sabu tags Show in the nuts. Dropping him to his knees. Sabu grabs a chair and tags him in the face with multiple chair shots. He tries to lock on the camel clutch which looks crazy. Like my two year old nephew trying to choke me out. Show picks him up and turns it into a side slam.

Sabu dodges a big boot, causing Show to crotch himself.. Sabu hits a flying dropkick, knocking Show to the floor. Heyman's guards help Show back into the ring. Show easily kicks out of a pin attempt and is already back in control.

Show is ready to end things. He tries to chokeslam Sabu thru a table but Sabu reverses it into a DDT. Show is so huge Sabu is briefly trapped under his arm. Like someone in a collapsed building under a beam. Sabu is up and has the chair and goes to town. Heyman is great wincing and crying. One last shot sends Show to the floor thru another table.

Outside the ring, Sabu attacks Heyman's guards. I love how when Sabu punched them he shifted his hand to a different position to protect his knuckles. Show tries to slam him but Sabu gets out of the way and shoves him into a turnbuckle post.

Show is draped on a table. Sabu comes off the top for a legdrop, sees Show has moved and adjust to hit him with Air Sabu but Show catches him and Chokeslams him thru the table. Back in the ring and the Cobra Clutch Back Breaker and Hog Log ends it.

I loved the first three months of ECW on Sci fi. It went downhill after Show lost the belt. I know it occasionally had its moments until it croaked last year. But nothing compares to Big Show tearing shit up with Sabu and Sandman every week.

Sabu A Day:Day 2 vs Kevin Thorn Halloween 2006

This match is from the Halloween 2006 episode of ECW on Syfy. Sabu is facing Kevin Thorn for a spot in the Extreme Elimination Chamber. Which as an aside is an unfairly slagged match BTW.

I love Kevin Thorn. I think I was singing his praises in 06 but not nearly enough. Loved his feud with Stevie Richards in 2007. I wish he had been moved to Smackdown to feud with Taker.

But this match is with Sabu. You get a similar dynamic to the match with Abyss. Though in the case of Thorn he is wrestling more like a monster. While Abyss was acting like a 6ft6 300 pound chickenshit heel.

Initially Thorn runs over Sabu. Having a clear cut size and power advantage. Until Sabu takes over using his speed and general unorthodox style. Thorn goes to the floor and Sabu dives onto him. I liked Ariel's 'Holy Shit" reaction. Sabu presses the advantage with a beautiful looking slingshot splash. One thing I loved about Sabu's eith month WWE tenure was he got a lot more creative without being able to use chairs and tables. So you never know where he is going to spring from.

Thorn gets back the advantage by turning an attempted leaping DDT into a sit out Spinebuster. Thron runs Sabu's shoulder into the turnbuckle and does a good job working him over on the mat with a chinlock and armbar. Not rest holds, really working him over.

Sabu catches Thorn with a sweet looking leaping leg lariat off the second rope. Follows it with a nice looking leaping clothesline and flying back elbow. He comes off the second rope and Thorn hits him with a nasty looking clothesline. Thorn misses a charge, and Sabu hits him with a GREAT flying DDT. Then hits him with a flipping legdrop and gets the rare submission win with the Camel Clutch.

I love this match. A perfect sub five minute TV match.

Sabu A Day:Day 1 vs Abyss Falls Count Anywhere

This match is from one of the old weekly TNA PPV shows. This was a part of the build up to the first match with Raven. Not sure why Abyss is involved.

I'm not a big fan of Abyss for whatever reason, he and Sabu have great chemistry. I have never seen them have anything less than a good match. They had a feud in 05 that culminated in TNA's only Barbwire match.

This is a street fight. Abyss has control of the early portions of the match using his size to take away Sabu's speed and crazy advantage but the match still goes to the outside. Sabu wears him out with chairshots. He hits a great looking Air Sabu dive to the floor. No seriously check it out, he gets some crazy hang time.

They fight up to the entrance set. I forgot how rinky dink the TNA "Asylum" looked. I'll still take it over the Impact Zone.

So a table is set up and Abyss and Sabu are fighting above it. Trading punches perilously above it as if the table was hot lava. I've said it before, but Sabu really understands how to get the most out of a table spot. Even matches with multiple table spots build in intensity. Sabu hits a sweet looking elbow splash into the table wreckage on Abyss getting a two count.

They fight back to the ring with Abyss continually going on the attack. Sabu has another chair and again gives Abyss noggin a floggin. Gets him down and hits an Arabian Facebuster.

The chair is all mangled and broken. Which is a cool visual. Abyss tries to catch Sabu on the turnbuckle but Sabu catches it and cracks Abyss skull. The match is kinda like a Road Runner cartoon with Abyss as the Coyote.

To further illustrate this point, Abyss takes out his chain. Sabu ducks grabs the chain and hog ties Abyss.

Abyss catches Sabu with a tossed chair as he tries the Triple Jump moonsault. Its interesting that every time Abyss gets any sustained offense it is thru cheating.

They fight down by the stage again. Sabu puts Abyss on a table and leaps off the bleachers onto Abyss.

Sabu does not pin him instead wanting to get another table to finish Abyss for good. Now Sabu is at the highest point in the Asylum. Lights go out and Raven pushes him off onto the table and it doesn't break. Raven dives off onto him with an elbow. Abyss gets the three.

I don't know if that was improvised but that was certainly a sick bump for Sabu to take.

I wish Kane vs Sabu had happened once in Sabu's WWE tenure. If he can do good work with Dollar Tree Kane, then surely he could do great work with real Kane.

3 Minute Warning vs Ken Anderson & Andy Sealon

Found this on Youtube. I loved Three Minute Warning at the time. These guys were the best at squashing dudes. A worthy successor to the Samoan Swat Team. One of the jobbers here is Ken Anderson. You might not recognize him as it is before he "blossomed". To be fair though, Anderson showed a lot of potential here.

His partner Andy Sealon had some really nice punches. One really nice sequence with the jobbers hitting a double dropkick, only to be wiped out by a Rosie double clothesline.

Jamal (The late Umaga) hits a sweet spin wheel kick. Then they finish it with an Irish Whip into a leaping Samoan Drop.

Fancam Follies 2011

Mikey Whipwreck vs Sabu 10.16.97 - by Moonshame

Here is the fancam spliced with the TV version so you can see the missing spot.

Saw the TV version of this last night on History of ECW. Really enjoyed it. There was a cut or two so I decided to check out the Fancam version.

First thing is Sabu never got credit for adjusting his character in 97 to be more heelish while staying true to Sabu. Made himself slightly less manic and crazy. More sneaky and weasely while still coming across as vicious and sadistic.

First section is Sabu taking Mikey down to the mat and out wrestling him. When Mikey starts out wrestling Sabu, the chair gets introduced. Which reminded me of Tully Blanchard's philosophy of being a heel. The heel tries to win the match fairly and resorts to cheating once he realizes he is outmatched.

Sabu takes advantage with the chair. Anytime Mikey has a comeback, Sabu catches him with a flying move.

Sabu sets the table up and Mikey nails him with a chair. Sabu really gets building up to the big spot. So when someone goes thru the table it is a big deal.

Mikey goes on a big come back and hits some great looking spots. Getting closer and closer to pinning Sabu. Mikey misses a twisting senton. Sabu goes back on offense and survives the Triple Jump Moonsault. Which is a pretty big deal as it has been Sabu's big finisher since he returned in 95. Only guys like Taz or RVD have kicked out of it.

So Sabu goes to the top and Mike follows and the video cuts to a second later with ECW chants and RVD and Mikey laying on the debris of a table. What happened was RVD ran in and Mikey dove off the top rope on top of RVD, sending them both tru a table. I promise I'll include the TV version once its available.

Okay Sabu is still on the top. Mikey is back up and Sabu moonsault presses him from the turnbuckle.

Sabu returns to the ring and Mikey follows only RVD has his ankle, and he is caught between the ropes. Sabu does a lionsault which drives his shin into Mikey's head knocking him out.

This was very effective at

1. Making Sabu and RVD heels.

2. Keeping Sabu strong for his feud with Sandman.

3. Making Mikey look strong as he comes very close to actually pinning Sabu.

Batista vs CM Punk Great American Bash 2008

With all the furor over CM Punk winning the WWE Championship Sunday I have been watching his old matches. I watch a match with Danielson from from IWA Mid South and the first Joe/Punk match. I didn't hate those matches. They were entertaining but enough of it bugged me I really don't want to revisit them.

I watched his match with Batista at the 2008 GAB. I thought it would be interesting to compare since it is almost three years apart. Punk just win his first World Heavyweight Title. He cashed in on Edge and there was a lot of interest in his first defense against Batista.

At the time they were in a big rut with Batista. It felt like every month he was the number one contender. But each time he would lose somehow. So he felt like a Lex Luger esque choke artist. Someone who could not win the big one or won the big one then quickly lost it. More a problem with monthly PPV and lazy writing.

Here he has his chance with CM Punk. The match has a good story going in. With Punk being thought of as a fluke. That he snuck in and ambushed Edge after Batista beat him down. So there is a real question of whether he can beat Batista.

The match starts with Punk taking the fight to Batista. Hitting him with kicks and taking Batista by surprise. As the match continues Batista takes control with one big power move. But each time Punk regains control whether it be with well timed kicks or suicide dives. Batista gives Punk a lot and it never looks out of place.

Near the end Punk dives off the apron and Batista catches him with the best forward Spinebuster he has ever hit. The question is now "Can Punk survive?" But before we can find out, Kane attacks both of them resulting in a no contest.

Which is frustration. Since the big question is left unanswered. It did not lead to

A: Kane vs Batista

B: Kane vs CM Punk

C: Kane vs CM Punk vs Batista.

D: CM Punk vs Batista rematch.

It was done as a way not to answer the question. But if you stop watching wrestling promotions that have bullshit finishes your viewing options dry up fast. You can only hope the ride is good and in this case the ride was very good.

The Birth of MulkeyMania!

Love this. I want to explore the story of the Gladiators. These two tough guys prove themselves in the West Coast Mask Leagues. Get their big chance to enter the Crockett Cup. Make a TBS debut complete with Kiss theme song then they get pinned by the wimpiest job team around. They lose their spot in the tourney and their careers and presumably lives go into tail spin.

This is great just for Vince marking out for the Mulkeys. Plus brutal Express double teams.

Sabu & RVD vs Yoshinari Ogawa & Kintaro Shiga AJPW 5/13/1997

This match is from I'm guessing All Japan and is a perfect Sabu and RVD match. They hit everything clean. Cool train wreck spots. Never seen Shiga work before but he is pretty good and I've always (since first seeing him) thought Ogawa was underrated. They hit some nice looking offense on RVD. Shiga spiked him with a tornado DDT. Then Shiga and Ogawa hit a sweet double Slingshot Suplex.

The finishing sequence is great and I can't believe they never used it in ECW.

Qubecers Debut

The Quebecers WWF Debut by TSteck160

This is a great debut. Jacques and Pierre hit some brutal double teams. Even doing the old Rougeau Brothers Cannonball. Also a nasty looking STO.

Terry Daniels still turned up in the WWF from time to time after his run as Sgt.Slaughter's protege. Here he is facing the Widowmaker Barry Windham. Not a lot to it beyond being a good TV match with Daniels getting just enough offense. He hits a nice standing dropkick right next to Barry. I was impressed with how he extended his legs in mid air.

Odd hearing Tony Schiavonie act like he has never really seen Barry Windham before. Match ends up on the floor and Barry sits him on the top turnbuckle from the ring apron. Which I have never seen before. One superplex later and its over.

Jerry Lawler vs Kane

I remember reading about this in the Wrestler. Great video package and fantastic promo from Cornette.

Sabu and Rob Van Dam vs Too Cold Scorpio and the Sandman

This a match from the tail end of the seemingly never ending Sabu/Sandman feud. Sandman brought in his former tag team championship partner Too Cold Scorpio for back up.

Match starts off at a fast pace and never lets up. Scorp Dog and RVD have great chemistry and brawl around ringside. Sabu and Sandman pick up where they left off. Sabu ends up crashing to the floor on an attempted dive. Gets back in and takes an even nastier hit putting Sandman thru the table.

Hey its the very seldom seen Sabu/RVD Total Elimination executed pretty poorly. Scorp saves Sandman after the Arabian Facebuster but the Atomic Arabian Facebuster ends it.

Christian vs Randy Orton from 2005

Randy Orton vs Christian (RAW 2.14.2005) by RatedREdgeHead316

I've been loving the current Randy Orton vs Christian series. Last night's match was a great match. One of the best either guy has ever been involved in. It reminded me these two had a match back in 2005 before Christian left for TNA.

This is a really good match. You can see the seeds for what a great work guy Christian would turn into in TNA and Orton was really good as well. He looked a lot bigger back then.

At some point Christian takes a hard blow to the face and develops a huge knot. Orton works it over thru out. Really good story of Christian trying to avoid the rKo. With Orton getting more creative in trying to hit it.

The finish is similar to last night but even better in my opinion.

Two matches

This is the famous six pack challenge from Unforgiven 99. Its Big Show vs Bulldog vs Kane vs Mankind vs Triple H vs the Rock.

Its done with a tag format. Not a ton of story. But a basic one with everyone but Bulldog hating HHH. Its worked very fast paced sinced everybody can come in quick spurts, hit their moves and tag out. Sometime having it break down and have everybody go at it. Austin is on commentary and doing a great job. Getting over everything and having fun.

There was a referee strike going on. They were tired if being abused. One ref crossed the picket line. Near the end as Big Show has Mankind pinned they pull him out of the ring. Austin's voice lights up like a kid found a dollar in the road. He beats the plop out of all the referees and takes over just in time to count three for Triple H. Of course HHH gets up in his grill So he gets a Stunner.

From 2009 Smackdown before Survivor Series. Its the team of JeriShow vs Undertaker and Kane.

Good match with a somewhat chicken poo finish. Great finishing sequence. Big Show hit a brutal looking spear to save Jericho from the chokeslam. Kane does a really good job playing face in peril. He almost makes it to Taker a few times, each time Big Show comes in and crushes Kane.

Undertaker is pacing excitedly before Kane finally makes the big tag. The match has an excellent finishing sequence. Jericho tries to get Taker in the Walls but its reversed into Hell's Gate but Show pulls Jericho out of the ring. Kane gets the better of Big Show. The Brothers of Destruction get set to chokeslam Show thru the announce table but Jericho makes the save.

Inside the ring Taker gets the best of Jericho. Big Show knocks out Kane outside the ring. He comes inside and saves Jericho by chokeslamming Undertaker. He helps up Jericho who unknowingly hits the Codebreaker on Big Show. Instead of pinning Taker he grabs the World Heavyweight belt and leaves.

This was to set up the Show vs Taker vs Jericho title match at Survivor Series. If Jericho had pinned Taker it would of been great. As is it sounds like another chickenshit WWE finish. They wanted to set up Survivor Series but did not want Undertaker pinned so they did this. Still a good match.

Day of the Omeniac 5: An Ominoous Return

An Ominous Return

"And the Book of Omen directs us to the Shrine of Shadow where upon we will find the Door to Twilight. Once there we will bathe in his courage!!!"

I look upon this WAVE audience and see half of the seats are empty. I am not reaching them.

"WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME!!!!!!!!!!"

I see an old Omen Maniac. He is wearing a Omeniac shirt from ten years ago. He is speaking to a youngster.

"Sorry John I did not think it would be like this."

"You said this Omeniac was really cool."

"I know I did John.... And he was. Oh you should of seen him when he fought Ransom Fortune. He picked him up over his head and threw him into the first row. It was crazy."

"Wow Ransom Fortune? what happened to him."

"I dunno John. He started some kinda church or something. Remember when aunt Linda became a Jehovah's Witness?"

"yeah....."

"Something like that. Actually I'm not even sure its the same guy. He has his hair grown out and in a ponytail. My Omeniac would never wear a suit."

Hearing that breaks my chest. I stand in the aisle for what feels like days. I am losing my followers and my self respect. According to my sources Typhoon TV's ratings go down every time I do a sermon. Why did Johansen agree to this. My mind is swimming in confusion and the tide continues to rise.

I do not even notice two young men dressed like poultry running past me.

"Hailing from Satan's coop the Psycho Chickens!!!!!!"

They are starting the next bout. I should return to the locker room. I have paper work to fill out..... Is it any wonder he has abandoned me? Now two youngsters dressed like fish have attacked the two chickens.

"Hailing from Angry Waters The Murder Fish!!!!!!"

I watch as these undersized weaklings fight with all of their heart and being. They truly thirst for the battle. I was once like them. I had far greater power but I had the same fighting spirit.

As I walk to the back the arena lights go out. A green spotlight hits the ring and an organ starts playing. It is Doomsmith the WAVE champion. He brushes past me like I am nothing. Why is he attacking these youngsters? They are no threat to him.

The Fish since his immediate threat and attack. They display spirit greater than most. But spirit will not slay this monster. he headbutts the fish shattering his face in the process. The Fish's orange and blue mask is not crimson with life force.

The fish's partner attempts to save him. His feeble punches doing no damage to the one who slayed Ransom Fortune. This Doomsmith knocks the second Fish out with a single punch.

I should help. But I am here to preach not participate.

"OMENIAC!!!!!!!!"

"You you have returned?"

"OMENIAC HERE ME NOW!!!!! YOUR MISSION IS CLEAR IF YOU WILL ONLY SEE!!!!!!!"

"yes I see."

I am convulsing with his presence. His power... HIS WORD!!!!!!!!

The Doomsmith has one of these chickens by the throat. He has his leather glad fist pulled back. But before he can throw a punch I capture his hand.

The Green and Black Titan turns around. his eyes looking at the Omeniac with seeming amusement.

"Hmmmm......."

"HERE THIS DOOMSMITH YOU WILL SLAY NO MORE WEAKLINGS FOR YOUR BATTLE IS WITH THE OMENIAC!!!!!!!"

I tear my coat and dress shirt off. Revealing the mark of the Omeniac. My fist pump and i beat upon my chest. The Doomsmith tries to strike me with his fist but I block it and hit him with the power of a billion voids. I hit him again and again.

I run off the ropes building momentum until I unleash a clothesline worthy of the one who I serve. The Doomsmith does not fall. Again I unleash upon him and he staggers back but never falls. I prepare for one last strike when his hand grasp my throat. The air leaves my lungs. I prepare to embrace unconsciousness.

"OMENIAC!!!!!!!!"

"yes??"

"OMENIAC YOU WILL NOT FALL!!!!!!"

My arm gains life. I wrap my hand around the Doomsmith's thick neck.

"OMENIAC YOU WILL DESTROY THIS BLASPHEMER!!!!!!"

My other arm gains life and I wrap my other hand around the nexk of Doomsmith. I feel Doomsmith's essence fading. When he headbutts me with his cast iron mask. I fall to the ground. I look upon my hand and it is covered in life force. I require oblivion.

"OMENIAC!!!!!!! OMENIAC!!!!!! YOU WILL NOT FALL AS THE BLASPHEMER BREATHES!!!!!!!"

I rise to my feet and tackle the Doomsmith. We are a hurricane of fist and fury. Soon we are attacked by security. Who are these ants who seek to stop my righteous cause? I attack them as if they are Doomsmith. As I throw the last security interloper over the top rope, I see Doomsmith is gone.

I snatch a microphone from the overstuffed ring announcer.

"Pant, Pant, Pant.... Know this Doomsmith. You may have escaped the wrath of the Omeniac for now. I will slay you once and for all. IT IS WRITTEN!!!!!!!!!!"
