I posted this at DVDVR.

I downloaded a bunch of Nitros recently, after seeing the kickass Steiners/Road Warriors match. The following week had two more good tag matches with the Road Warriors beating the Nasty Boys in a really good (I shit you not.) brawl. Those guys just beat the piss out of each other. With Hawk knocking Jerry Sags silly with a knife edge chop to the jaw. The only strange thing was the Road Warriors cheating to win after hitting a Nasty with a spiked arm pad.

What happened to the Road Warriors in the nine months between they're leaving WCW and joining the WWF? They were shells of their former selves. Seeming more like a Road Warriors ripoff team than the Road Warriors.

Also on the show was another good match between Public Enemy. and the Steiners. Th P.E had no problem letting the Steiners beat the hell out of them, while Rocco flew all over the ring. Finish came when Rocco missed a suicide senton from the ring to the floor thru a table.

On the April 1st Nitro their was a triangle match with Road Warriors vs the Nasty Boys vs the Steiners. They all picked up where they left off and beat the crap out of each other. The end came when Johnny Grunge came out dressed as Brian Knobbs and took the fall causing the Nasties to lose.

But man did the Public Enemy have bad timing jumping to WCW. Within a month both the Steiners and the Road Warriors both returned to the national wrestling scene. Its hard to believe a tag team roster was that loaded in America.

On the March 25th Nitro Ric Flair defended the WCW title against the Giant. For people who enjoyed the ECW title match from a few months back, they would love this. The Giant destroys Flair with ease, with Flair having to use every shortcut in the book to survive. The finish came when Giant chokeslammed Flair and Arn Anderson hit him with a chair. Kevin Sullivan comes in and takes the chair from Arn before the Giant can turn around. The Giant procedes to chokeslam everyone in sight before leaving, causing a no contest. This was far better than the match where Giant won the title a month later. Kevin Sullivan is the only booker who ever used Big Show correctly. Even if it only served to put Hulk Hogan over as the only person in WCW who mattered after he no sells a chokeslam.
