I've been watching a bunch of Doink matches lately. The evil Matt Borne variety. He is just awesome. He just suplexs the shit out of guys and brutalises them.

This is as good a five minate match as you will ever see. Doink hits Bossman with a box before the bell rings. He keeps Bossman on the mat just tearing him apart with various submission holds.

This is one of the Doink vs Mr.Perfect series. It only goes to a ten minate draw but is really good. There is an even better match on Raw between them.

Been wanting tonput this up for a long time. But circumstances have prevented it. I will say right here. I loved the first three months of new ECW. In fact I would put Show in my top three ECW champions list. This is a really good match. I know people dislike RVD but I don't. I thought he did a bunch of new stuff early on in new ECW. This match right here is one of those matches. You may remember seeing it because Hardcore got a huge gash in his back superplexing RVD thru a table to the floor.

Holly was starting to get over. But then Heymen went and turned him face way too soon and nobody cared. Then they turned him hel again which killed his remaining heat. Really good hard hitting match.

This match is the onl singles match Taz and Mike Awesome had. If it had been a year or two before this would have been better. But its late 99 and Taz is pretty much done for as a wrestler. I think at this point he wanted to get some big WWF money and stop wrestling. Since he had been working with a bad neck for years.

Anyway its more 99 Taz brawling thru the crowd. But Awesome and Taz are two favorites so im putting it up.

RVD vs Uganda (AKA Kamala #2)

I like RVD, I love Sabu and the idea of a under 6 foot even fatter Jamala rip off amuses me to know end I loved this match. Uganda is actually kinda good. Eally quick on his feet. He bust out a few suplexes on RVD. Then RVD begins the RVD show. Which im fine with because I love the RVD show.

Listen to the promo RVD cuts on Sabu before the match. "Homicidal, suicidal, very fragile, busted legged, no championship belt having, and the Shiek's second favorite wrestler Sabu." Thats ice cold.

Vader vs Shawn Micheals fancam

Is this one of the matches where Micheals and Vader were halfassing it? Because I just don't see it. This is a ppv quality match. Better than Summerslam in some ways. Not putting up an avi because Captain Watermark decided to scar the video. On one hand im grateful for such a rare find. On the other im pissed because it was intentionally damaged.

More One Man Gang

Here is something I've been wanting for a long time. One of the OMG/Sabu matches. This is July 27th 1999 in Lousiana. Gang out bumps and outbleeds Sabu in this match. Taking all sorts of big bumps here. Heyman definatly could of found more for him. I o not get how WCW could not of found use for him in their 2000 man roster. Huge 400 pound guy who bumps even bigger. Great look too.

The Gang, The Boss and the Hulk

Now before I get to the match I have to say. Pete Doherty and Mike McGirk are the worst announce team in the history of eanything. You know the two guys who announce your local high school football games? They are worse. You know when AC Slter turns down the sound on his tv and does play by play? They are much much worse.

Doherty is some career jobber they put on commentary. He does this horrible impression of a drunk guy doing an impression of Burgess Merieth. McGirk is terrible. She is just awful. I really have no idea why they hired her. Because she is not attractive enough to be that bad. She does not seem to get the simple concept of "Do not bury the heel wrestling Hogan!!!"


The match itself was good. Hogan and Gang had a good series of matches in late 87. They never bothered to shoot an angle. They just had Gang winning squash matches and never getting knocked off his feet. But they still drew really well. You should check it out. Its a good prime Hogan by the numbers match.

Big Bossman vs Hulk Hogan MSG late 1988

Now this was a great brawl. So much stuff in it. Hogan handcuffs Slick to the ring post. Strutts and dances outside and slaps Slick in the head, then high fiving a kid. This continues for several minates. Til Bossman gets back on offense. The match keeps going back in forth. Bossman hits the side slam out nowhere. Im not going to say anymore. But check it out. You will see why this series drew so well.

At some point it appears Gang lost his mind. I like to imagine the whole thing was initiated by Gang being hit in the head with something heavy. Like Fred Flintstone getting a new personality. Well this is the SNME rematch with Bossman. Nice little match. With Akeem playing 500 pound pinball for Bossman. Then getting the advantag and mauling Bosman for a bit. ossman actually get a hulk up spot. Which shows how over Bossman was. He again hits the Bossman slam out of nowhere. Before Ted Dibiase and Virgil attack.

One Man Gang vs Super Giant Ninja

For a brief shining period. The One Man Gang was United States champion. You could tell how thrilled he was to have the belt too. On this episode of Saturday Night. He wrestles Super Giant Ninja. Who looks suspiciously like Ron Studd wearing the Yeti suit. It doesnt go long but a fun squash. Plus Dusty on commentary.

Here is Quake vs Sting at Starrcade 94. This is an underrated match. Just solid dependable wrestling. Its not Sting/Vader but most things aren't. Its just Sting trying to get Quake off his feet and Quake squashing him. Will likely have more up later including the Hogan Summerslam 90 match.

Ric Flair vs Roddy Piper

Its really odd to see Flair wearing the WCW World title in 1991 WWF. Even odder hearing Gorilla Monsoon put him over as one of the greatest ever. Going over how he has beaten the best in the world. This is 91 WWF. To hear them acknowledge wrestling outside of the WWF is just jarring.

The match itself is kinda disappointing. Despite their long time friendship, Flair and Piper do not really click in the ring. It felt like they were wrestling two different matches. Its still decent enough and it is Flair essentially defending the WCW World title against Roddy Piper in 1991 WWF.

Bret Hart vs the Berzerker I was not expecting much even though I like Bret and John Nord. But this was actually a really good match. The match has Berzerker beating down Bret most of the match, with Bret unable to figure out how to defeat such an unorthodox wrestler. It is a good match. They could have done a tv feud with these two.

LOD vs the Natrual Disasters
One thing LOD never get credit for is their ability to sell. But man when they want to they are as good as anyone. Most of the match is the Disasters squashing Hawk in the corner. The Disasters actually hit their finisher on Animal and have the titles won. But then Quake hits the ref for no reason.

From a storyline stand point you get why Jimmy Hart ditched them for Money Inc. They tossed away the belts here then hey blew their chance at the Rumble winning by count out. Its a good enough tag match though.

This match is from a 1991 episode of Power Hour. A tag match with Ric Fklair and Barry Windham vs Ricky Morton and Tommy Rich. THe match gets really good. Though it ends in a shmozz. I forgot that Tommy Rich was a pretty good worker in his day.
