It turns out that Thanos over the years has dabled in making clones. While some possessed Thanos's power and destructive nature, none of them had his cunning (as demonstrated in the Ka-Sar and Thor storylines)
He had even taken to combining his DNA with various powerful enities in the universe (Gladiator, Dr.Strange, Charles Xavier, Iron Man and GALACTUS) Unfortuneatly they have escaped, and have a plan to destroy all life. So Thanos has to join forces with Warlock and the son of his enemy Captain Mar-vell to stop them.
